As Project Coordinator, Mary uses her journalism, advertising and public relations skills to contribute and edit content for various projects and assist with project research. In addition, she provides administrative work as needed.
In previous positions at WGN-TV, Spotlight Marketing, and CBS Radio, Mary gained valuable experience curating social media posts, coordinating promotional events, executing journalistic strategies and creating impactful content, such as video and copy. In addition to her communications experience, Mary also worked in the Naperville School District where she developed a passion for the education field, especially the growth and development of individuals in the special education program.
A graduate from DePaul University, she received her M.A. in Journalism and her B.A. in Communications. This area of study included courses in public relations, advertising, media and journalism. As a contributing writer to DePaul’s school publications, she has a strong background as a writer and editor. While at DePaul, Mary also held a leadership role as philanthropy chairman for Alpha Omicron Pi sorority where she planned and hosted events to raise awareness and funds for The Arthritis Foundation.
Mary also spends time running for causes near and dear to her, such as The Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Association as a “Team Fox” athlete. She also enjoys taking road trips to national parks, and spending time with her friends, family and PAWS Chicago rescue dog, Louie.
