Meredith is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience crafting and delivering messages to reach and influence key stakeholders. At Morreale, Meredith develops and executes communications strategies using stakeholder involvement, coalition building, earned media and strategic thinking to help clients accomplish their goals.

Prior to her role at Morreale, Meredith headed communications for the Illinois Department of Human Services where she created an array of communications materials, including the department’s mission statement and supporting multi-media kits, press releases, executive speeches and presentations, and publications for the legislature. As the agency spokesperson, she worked closely with media, pitching compelling stories, and communicating complex issues.

Before DHS, Meredith directed communications for the state’s Department of Central Management Services, where she coordinated all internal and external communication, and managed a team of 20 communication professionals. As Deputy Director for the Illinois Office of Communication and Information, she implemented the agency’s first employee engagement committee, from inception of the idea through design and leadership. She also was instrumental in generating positive media coverage of the State of Illinois IT transformation, business diversity program efforts, and the sale of the James R. Thompson Center.

Her career began working in the Illinois General Assembly for the House of Representatives Republican Caucus where she spearheaded media and community engagement strategies for members of the Illinois House of Representatives.

Meredith earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Illinois State University.
