Before joining Morreale Communications in 2018, Mike served as the Communications Manager for the Illinois Department of Human Rights. During this time, Mike also served as the agency spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice during a period of historical reforms in the statewide juvenile justice model. This included initiating proactive and responsive communications strategies around such efforts as “right-sizing” the agency youth population, publicizing facility programming initiatives, and the process of closing Illinois' last maximum-security youth facility. He has also managed communications for the Illinois Department of Central Management Services, Illinois Human Rights Commission, and the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission.
Mike earned a B.A. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, with an emphasis in Public Administration. He remains active in his community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview.
